I think as people generally, but most definitely as women, we wish for a quick fix to our fitness woes so that we don’t have to spend as much time on that darn treadmill. While nothing does/should replace good old exercise, there are little tips and tricks that we can all use to help our bodies along to get/keep fit. I must tell you that discovering detox / infused water (s) has been a revelation for me. I have been having them for a few years now and, hand on heart, swear by them. They really do work in a BIG way.
In this post i am sharing my top 5 detox recipes /water that I use and love in my pursuit of fitness and fabulosity☺️
this water is my no. 1 favorite. When I first came across it, I was instantly excited by it and upon making and drinking it now for a few years, I love it even more. This magic elixir rids the body of toxins and helps to get rid /flush the fat from our bodies as well (winner😍). The cucumbers help prevent water retention as cucumbers are natural diuretics. The lemons and limes get rid of any toxins, while the grapefruit aids in fat burning. All you need to do is mix together:
1/2 gallon of Spring water, 1/2 grapefruit (sliced), 1/2 cucumber (sliced), 1/2 lemon (sliced), 1/2 lime (sliced), a few mint leaves. Cool in fridge. For best results drink 1/2 gallon a day.
This infusion has a lovely fresh, fruity flavor. The kiwi in this helps get rid of toxins from the colon. The strawberries are fantastic for the skin as they contain anti ageing properties. Mix together: 2 litres of water, a few strawberries and kiwis (chopped). Cool in fridge.
This water is my 2nd favorite detox water to have. It gets rid of fat and toxins and speeds up your metabolism- what’s not to love?
simply mix together a gallon of spring water, add 1-2 sliced apple(s), 2 cinnamon sticks. Refrigerate to chill.
Burn Baby Burn:
This little gem is absolutely magical. It really does help with weight loss . It cleanses the body, flushes out toxins and with the help of the cinnamon added, curb your appetite. The apple cider vinegar is the magic ingredient here. Having countless benefits, the vinegar is the key ingredient here that helps with the overall better health.
mix together 360ml water, 2 Tbl Apple cider vinegar, 1Tbl lemon juice, 1tsp ground cinnamon and 1/2 of an apple (sliced). Chill before drinking.

When I first came across this, I found it fascinating, firstly because it claimed to be able to get rid of bloating, helps to lose fat, slim down etc and also because apparently other “personalities” etc doing shoots and being in the public eye somewhat, used this before shoots To look and feel their best. I thought, “this is exactly what I’m looking for” and I must say I have never looked back. This fantastic detox water gets rid of the body’s toxins, helps with weight loss and eliminates bloating. If you had to choose 1, this would definitely be my top pick. All you need is:
5 slices of cucumber, 1/2 lemon (sliced), 1/4 orange (sliced), few mint leaves, 720ml water. Give it a good mix. Chill before drinking . Drinking at least 250ml a day of this mix is ideal. The cucumbers in here prevent water retention, the lemon has a cleansing effect on the body, the oranges are great for the immune system and the mint aids in easy digestion as well as soothing stomach cramps. All of this makes this mix the perfect fat busting weapon to have in your arsenal:)
How simple are these to make? They are refreshing and delicious as well which helps you to stay on course and stick with it.
