Beauty- Natures Way…

I truly believe that everything that our bodies need, can be found in nature. Unfortunately we cannot always have access to all of these ingredients that we need so commercial, “man made” products are a huge help in this regard, however as far as beauty is concerned, there are readily available, all natural ingredients that we can use to whip up lotions and potions that will leave us looking and feeling better than ever (& years younger too;)).

I have put together my top six favorite ideas that I have come across (& use myself) to help skin looking it’s best. These ideas use the simplest of ingredients, which together helps to transform our skin (not to mention that it will save us a pretty penny) 🙌😉

Beauty- Natures Way

Ok, the first star of this show is :

1. Honey Avo Moisturizing Cream

Moisturizing your skin helps to retain moisture and, not only diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but leaves skin soft, smooth and glowing.

Yiu will need:

45ml fresh cream/milk,

1/4 avo

15ml honey

Blend all ingredients together till smooth. Apply in face. Leave on for approx. 45mins- 1 hour. Rinse off with warm water.

2. Quick Acne/Blemish Buster

Im sure most of you will agree that having pesky pimples and blemishes, especially when you are about to go out and need to look Flawless, is 1 of the most annoying things to go through. I have found the perfect solution for us:) This little mixture quickly diminishes the appearance of pimp,es and blemishes and is a complete lifesaver for those emergency situations.

All you need is a little yeast, squeeze of lemon and water. Mix together. App,y directly into pimple/ blemish. Leave on for 8-10mins. Cover with a bandage.

3. Tight and Toned

Toning your skin is such an important part of your overall skincare regimen. Some toners, however are expensive while others are really not worth buying. This Basil Toner is fantastic for all skin toning, but especially great for troubled skin as Basil is a natural antiseptic. This little magic potion will help clear acne and with circulation.

Mix together 3Tbl dried Basil in 1c boiling water.Let that cool. Strain out the basil. Put the basil water in a spray bottle. Spritz on skin before cleansing , using cotton wool to spread the Toner all over the skin.

4. Almond Sugar Scrub-a-Dub Dub

Exfoliating your skin is essential to keeping its looking healthy and brighter. Exfoliating gets rid of the dead skin cells leaving the skin bright and smooth.

Mix together 3Tbl cream, 1C white sugar, 1/2C brown sugar, 1/2C ground almonds and 2Tbl Olive Oil. Apply to dry face. Wash off with warm water and then with cold water.

**this mixture/scrub can be stored in fridge for future use.

5. Anti-Aging Antioxidant Mask

Lets be honest, who among us does not want to look as young as we can for as long as we can, right? I am always looking for natural ingredients and products to help me do just that and this anti aging mask is brilliant.

This mask hydrates and gently exfoliates your skin. The honey boosts hydration while the egg white tightens and firms skin, taking years off your face.

Simply mix together 1Tbl cocoa powder, 1Tbl sour cream, 1Tbl honey and 1 egg white. Apply to face. Allow to dry and Rinse.

6. Damaged Skin Repair Mask

So many of us have damaged skin due to various factors incl. sun damage/exposure. This mask is fantastic to help repair and rejuvenate  your skin and bring it back to life:) The blueberries in this have antioxidants that will protect and repair damaged skin and the lemons have vitamin C in them which will aid in brightening your skin.

Mix together 1Tbl crushed blueberries, 1Tbl lemon juice, 1Tbl cucumber juice, 2Tbl baking soda and 2Tbl water. Spread mask on face. Leave on for 20mins or so. Rinse off with warm water.
